KPIs on the Buys page
We continue making steps towards a more holistic approach to the buy process in ResaleAI.
Today, we are testing something in our stores: displaying real-time KPIs on the Buy Page for metrics that provide actionable feedback to the buyers.
Here is a screenshot.
The 3 metrics are:
- The number of open buys
- The "wait time" (currently an average, but we are tweaking this formula)
- The current Trade %
The wait time currently has the following assumptions:
- Buys should take less than 20 minutes. The box is green.
- The typical trade takes 27 minutes, the box is red if the wait is longer.
- Between 20 and 27 minutes, the box is yellow.
The Trade % is green or red based on that store's goal for the day.
We are not displaying the amount purchased, because we still believe it is dangerous for our team to take action based on that number.
As we use the Sorter field more (and set it prior to sorting a buy), we should be able to adjust the wait time better. Also, we may start highlighting individual buys that are in need of attention.
We can currently turn this feature on/off for individual users. There is no way to configure the break points on wait time, but if this is something you would be interested in testing, let us know and we can turn it on for you.
We would love to have some discussion around this proposed feature. Does it look useful? Is it missing something? Is there any reason you want us to NOT do this?

This is really cool. I'm not sure I'm ready to use it yet. We haven't even started entering in the buys to DRS as they come in to get them to show up on resaleai. I guess I'm waiting for the part where you enter all the customer info into resaleai and it then starts the new buy in DRS. My team has a very hard time with change, but we're working on it. I'll probably wait until after the back to school rush and start for the fall when we have a little more time to get use to it.

Nick, that makes complete sense.
You can definitely provide feedback along the way though. And this particular feature is one we can turn on for your user account without enabling it for the rest of your team. That way you can experiment and test it out without changing their day-to-day.

It has helped. However, during these slower buy period, the older girls tend to quickly sort the buy before even going over to drs to get it in the queue. I think once we get them signed using RAI it will make a huge impact to the buy process and overall organization at the buy counter.
