Advanced task features and reporting
Automating processes are important to maintaining efficiency while staying within budget, particularly with minimum wages skyrocketing. The more we can automate the tracking and auditing the more time will be saved.
It would be nice if there was a daily report showing who completed each daily task and what time each task was completed. (and possibly emailed if a checkbox was marked) In addition, it would be great to have a tad more interaction with tasks. In addition to a task simply being marked completed with a check mark, it would be nice to have the ability for tasks to be created with other answer possibilities. Like YES/NO or SATISFACTORY/UNSATISFACTORY (i.e. for Managers checking other's work) and numerical values. This might be too advanced, but it would also be nice that if the answer to a task failed to meet a certain value then that task and result would be emailed to the owner/manager. For example, we used to have a supply checklist in another program and I had it set to if the answer was answered 1 or 0 it would email me so I knew to order more of that supply. It would also be nice if a manager could add a note specific to a task that was completed (so if something was marked unsatisfactory they could explain why).

Interesting idea.
We have seen some stores add tasks for the Team Leader / Manager along the lines of "Confirm rack maintenance" or something. So that might be helpful to you in the short-term.
As for reporting, we intend for the Day Book itself to serve as that report. So that the manager / owner can log in and look at previous days. But maybe we need to do more to allow commentary on that review process or something?
