In-store Shopping by Appointment
- To limit the number of customers in the store, consider using a dedicated booking calendar - Youcanbook.me and Simplybook.me are good calendar options
- If you will have very limited hours, discuss availability with your employees and create a calendar with time slots that work best for your team. Set up 30 min or 1 hour time slots on the calendar
- Let customers know you are limiting the number of shoppers to 5 or 10 at a time, and that they can book a private shopping appointment using your calendar link. Be sure to let them know there is no pressure to purchase anything during your booked time
- Post the calendar link on Instagram and Facebook, and possibly your website
- Feature the link in your Instagram story and save as a highlight
- The team will need to monitor the booked calendar time slots. When a customer arrives, they’ll ask if they booked a specific time slot, and check their name
- If the customer didn’t book a spot in advance, let them know they can shop if there are fewer than 5 customers in-store currently
- If a customer has been in the store for more than an hour, you will need to gently remind them that we have others who have booked private times that will be arriving soon, and ask them to complete their purchases
- Remind them that we will have many additional Instagram posts and stories featuring top products and that they can shop these from home, and purchase via Paypal to pick up or ship
